When Caudill Seed was founded in 1947, Forrest Caudill had a vision to become the leading seed distribution provider in the agribusiness industry.
Caudill Seed is a privately owned, family-operated business, that started in Shepherdsville and later moved to Louisville, Kentucky . It began operations as an agricultural seed distributor and shortly thereafter began vertically integrating its core business, first by processing seeds and beans, upward toward growing crops, assisting in hybridizing varieties, and eventually developing unique germplasm. From our three locations in Kentucky, we have built our reputation by effectively responding to the needs of wholesalers, retailers, farm dealers, landscape contractors, hydraulic seeding professionals, sod farms, turf specialists, and professional sports turf managers. We have also built a loyal following among homeowners and those interested in ornamental turf with our Triple Crown varieties, and our Forrest Green lawn seed.
