Appalachian Kentucky Bluegrass is a rhizomatous, sod-forming cool-season grass. It has shown to have early spring green, good color, resistance to prevalent turf grass diseases, and has good overall turf quality. It offers a high density, dark green color which is an excellent choice for home lawns, parks, playgrounds and other turf applications. It may be seeded alone or in mixtures with other species like perennial ryegrass, creeping red fescue, chewings fescue, or tall fescue.
